Gerri Rachins (b. 1955, Brookline, MA) lives and works in Boston, and Cape Cod, MA. Her paintings, drawings, and collages reveal a preoccupation with the field of physics focusing on themes of matter and energy and the phenomena of perception. Collections include The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Addison Gallery of American Art, Zillman Art Museum, The Danforth Museum, Fidelity Investments and other corporate and private collections throughout the United States. For over two decades, she served on faculty at the School of The Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and for over a decade at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Rachins received an MFA in 2001 from MassArt and a BFA from Philadelphia College of Art while previously studying at the New York Studio School. Her works are represented by Mobilia Gallery, Cambridge, MA. Rachins is represented in New York by The Painting Center, where she hosted her fourth solo exhibition Getting From One Place to Another, Recent Paintings by Gerri Rachins, in 2025.
